The Macy's Thanksgiving parade is very famous around the world. It all started back in 1924. Throughout these years, this parade has evolved into a balloon, float, and band parade. In 1942, this parade had to stop because Macy's donated the balloons to the war effort. But, fortunately it was back on in 1945. And this time it was on television in New York for the first time! As you may already know, many people go to or watch this parade. If you do not do either, you are missing a very big event! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Great post Krutika. I do hope that I can watch it first hand one day. Maybe next time you can improve by describing how the parade has changed from then to now. Great job and keep it up.
